Muskoka Mead

Our Mead/Honey Wine is in production and our first three meads are available at our Dwight store year round (while supplies last).  Please note:  we do not ship our wine, and they are not currently available at the LCBO.    

Traditional Mead/Honey Wine with Vanilla, aged with Medium Toasted French Oak (350ml and 750ml bottles)

A distinctively Muskoka taste reflecting the incredibly varied Wildflowers in our region.  With a lightly sweet start, and delicate notes of wildflowers on the palate, this wine has a dry finish.  This wine is perfect when chilled on ice and paired with a charcuterie board or grilled fish.  

 

Wild Blueberry with Lemon Mead/Honey Wine (350ml and 750ml bottles)  **Only a Couple Dozen of the 750ml size Remaining**

What a colour!!  We started with our dry mead recipe, then added crushed, wild blueberries and juice, plus 100% pure lemon and let them all ferment together slowly.  Finally, we added a smidge more of our Wildflower honey to back sweeten for a finish that is closer to semi-sweet.  Lower alcohol than our Traditional Mead, this Wild Blueberry honey wine can easily be made into a summer spritzer by adding soda water and ice, or frozen blueberries.

 

Montmorency Cherry Mead/Honey Wine (350ml and 750ml bottles)

Beautiful, Ontario cherries and juice fermented with our Muskoka Wildflower Honey create a smoothly balanced taste - not too tart, not too sweet!  Enjoy chilled, with soda water as a spritzer, or poured over vanilla ice cream with fresh cherries.
